Dancer On The Go: Glenn Tremml Attends a Healthy Families Client Visit For Healthy Start Coalition

Glenn Tremml is one of ten star dancers in this season’s 4th Annual Dancing with Vero’s Stars, benefiting the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, to be held the evening of Saturday, March 10 at The Waxlax Center at Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach. The IRC Healthy Start Coalition develops, evaluates and funds a full spectrum of services to support pregnant women’s health, baby’s health and families parenting young children.

A perfect example of Healthy Start Coalition’s participation in helping with young parents parenting young children is Vero Beach High School juniors Jessica Evans and Deshawa Leake.  During their early pregnancy, Healthy Families, contacted the teens and offered programs and services to couples such as Evans and Leake, which are voluntary and free, from pregnancy through and up to five years.  With an emphasis on education, this is one of five of the non-profit’s program which works hand-in-hand helping with early childhood brain development and bonding with the baby, helping the parents with self sufficiency, basic care, breastfeeding assistance, birth control information, medical needs and insurance assistance, via a continuous schedule of home visits.

Star Dancer Tremml, an ER physician at Indian River Medical Center, has taken a keen interest in the programs offered by Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, as a means to help direct patients at the hospital, as well as for his involvement in the fundraising event.
